The People’s Conservatory fosters high level arts creation, study and performance in an effort to promote cultural awareness and positive social change. As artist educators we help young artists reveal themselves by facilitating experiences that help focus on growth and expansion. TPC’s curriculum incorporates a wide range of teachings rooted in ethnic and cultural studies, using our students’ inherent artistic voices to make them the next generation of culture keepers.

Afro-Play is a thematic family playgroup based in Afrocentrism for families of the African Diaspora.  We honor the Black experience. Afro-Play provides a sacred, supportive intergenerational gathering space for the healing, growth and the socialization of both black children and black parents/caregivers. We strive to help build and maintain authentic relationships organically between families through fun, thoughtful and educational curriculum themes surrounded in Afrocentricity. Our goal is to enlighten and empower black families as one people.
